EMDR

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy is a form of psychotherapy developed by Francine Shapiro in the 1980’s. EMDR uses bilateral brain stimulation to process traumatic material and re-integrate these memories into the memory network. If you find yourself looking to move beyond talk therapy, wanting to explore a deeper understanding of yourself and heal from core beliefs such as “I am unlovable” or “I am not enough” contact us today to see if EMDR is the right fit for you.

Clinical Supervision

  • I offer clinical supervision to those practicing psychotherapy. I am a MSW, RSW in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and meet requirements to offer supervision.

In my clinical supervision, I provide a safe, non-judgemental and informative space for us to debrief, explore and navigate the successes, questions and pitfalls of providing psychotherapy. I use trauma-informed skills rooted in a person-centered approach. I believe in holding a strong empathetic space for us to feel secure enough to grow in our practice (afterall, it’s called a ‘practice’ for a reason!).

In my own practice, I use trauma-informed principles, TF-CBT, DBT, emotion-focused therapy, narrative therapy and attachment based therapy. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and a person-centered approach, and I bring these theories and principles into our supervision experience as we grow our clinical skill sets.

  • I offer individual supervision at this time at a rate of $125 for 1 hour supervision session.

Astrology and Therapy

  • As a part of our holistic approaches to healing we aim to support our clients on a self-discovery journey. Understanding the self is an important part in any of our stories and necessary toward blooming - one petal at a time. In this service, you will work with our Astrologer, Samantha, who will provide virtual readings with a recording provided to you. Your therapist, with consent, will watch the recording with a therapeutic lens, to help bridge the gaps from the stars to your day-to-day life. This experience allows you to explore areas of your life from a unique lens that deepens the therapeutic exploration, relationship and furthers your understanding of self.

  • At Blooming Rose Therapy we see the benefit in exploring the astrological stars to understand yourself on a deeper level. This service is ideal for those looking to address:

    • Identity

    • Self-discovery

    • Familial and relationships

    • Deeper insight to therapy

  • We offer this service for 4-6 sessions of Astrology Readings and up to 6 sessions of Psychotherapy. In order to make this service accessible we offer Astrology Readings at a rate of $80 and Psychotherapy sessions, while participating in this service, at a rate of $105.

Yoga and Therapy

  • We believe in a holistic approach to health and wellness. At Blooming Rose Therapy we understand how the mind, and body, are connected, influencing one another. As a result of trauma, depression, anxiety and relationship concerns, the body and brain can experience a disconnect. Yoga is a supportive tool to bring awareness to the body and supports the soothing of the nervous system and brain stem. From a therapeutic lens, we can process and re-process our emotions, thoughts and behaviours impacting our daily lives.

The Yoga and Therapy service at Blooming Rose Therapy was developed to bridge the gap between the mind, body and soul. With your therapist, you will work with our certified Yoga Instructor, Samantha, to (re)build a connection with your body, soothe the nervous system and explore emotional impacts. This service works through the confidential therapeutic efforts of our team. After a completion of a psychotherapy session, we can determine parts of the body that store traumatic material and hold stress. With Samantha, you will receive a unique yoga session that is specific to your individual needs. Samantha pulls on the practices of yoga, breath work, reiki and trauma-informed principles.

  • This collaboration can support many areas of life such as:

    • Anxiety

    • Depression

    • Trauma (including PTSD and C-PTSD)

    • Stress

    • Relationship concerns

    • Grief and Loss

  • We offer this service for up to 8 sessions of Yoga and up to 8 sessions of Psychotherapy. In order to make this service accessible we offer Yoga Sessions at a rate of $80 and Psychotherapy sessions, while participating in this service, at a rate of $105.
